Life Beyond Birth 101 introduced me to so many things I didn’t know or even know I needed to know. It distilled that information so that it feels very manageable, and allowed me to feel reasonably prepared. The Course also provided a wonderful guide for Sara and me to have connecting conversations about how life will change, and share our anxieties/fears and hopes/aspirations. We feel empowered and prepared by a wealth of resources as well as our shared hopes and expectations.
Life Beyond Birth 101 brought a few transformations for me: I shifted into the mindset of a father and supportive partner; I deepened my understanding and empathy for all that a woman goes through in pregnancy, giving birth, and caring for the baby postpartum; and I feel a deeper connection with Sara about what we want our postpartum time to be like. This transformation helps me feel less anxious about being prepared because I have the necessary tools. I can drop into excitement and connection with Sara and the unfolding process.
I love that Life Beyond Birth 101 provides compassion and acceptance for the full range of experiences, AND gives us a wealth of tools for caring for ourselves physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
I most appreciated Molly’s balance of being well-researched and professional, as well as calming, compassionate, and open-minded about alternative modes and approaches. Her presence is perfect: calm, clear, empathetic, sensitive, and direct. Her knowledge and experience are impressive. She is so good at making every experience acceptable.
Having 9 weeks to explore the elements of postpartum gave us time and breathing room to absorb the information and dive deep into our conversations. I enjoyed getting to know the other couples in the course. It was comforting to hear how they were often worried or interested in the same things we were. They had great questions and input that enhanced the course.
I recommend Life Beyond Birth 101 for couples who are interested in learning what to really expect from postpartum, tools to empower them to confidently enjoy the first months of parenthood, and connecting with their partner about their shared fears, hopes, dreams, and expectations.

Life Beyond Birth 101 is empowering, informative, demystifying, connecting, educational, necessary, and fun. I recommend it for couples who are interested in connecting through their experience, uncovering what it really looks like after you bring your baby home, and learning how to be curious about how to best care for yourselves and your baby.
I valued the flow of the class, and how we really connected as partners before getting into the day to day details of postpartum. We were able to be deeply vulnerable about the things that might come up after our baby is born, all the while being held and guided by Molly, letting us know that all of these feelings, anxieties, and fears were normal. The nitty gritty on breastfeeding, infant care, postpartum care, and food demystified a lot of the questions I had about what happens after we bring our baby home!

It was great to have the permission to see things differently than what the mainstream tells us ~ particularly about how to see our bodies, approach our babies, take care of ourselves, set reasonable expectations of our capabilities, and how to connect with our partners and families in whatever ways work for us.

Molly’s presence is immediately calming and confidence inspiring! I am going to miss hearing her voice in our weekly lessons and interacting with her on Monday evenings. Her style of teaching is empowering and trusts that each person knows what’s best for their own situation.

Doing this course over 9 weeks definitely gave us time for deep discussion and contemplation between lessons. With such a large topic, it was nice to not have everything crammed into a small window of time.

I loved getting to know other couples and how they are approaching parenting, postpartum, life, boundaries, and all the other things associated with becoming new parents for the first time. It’s always reassuring to know you’re not alone in this world and that others may have the same questions you do or raise their hand and ask something that you didn’t know you needed to know.
